Letter from the President

Hi everyone and welcome to the Alpha Lambda chapter of Tri Delta!

As a rising freshman in college back in 2017, I was so unsure about the sorority recruitment process. Coming from a family with three older brothers and a Mom who was not involved with Greek life, I had no idea what awaited me. I joined Tri Delta and I was an excited new member- I still wasn’t sure what I had gotten myself into but I quickly found my way along with the other 115 new members in my pledge class. If you would have told that girl back in 2017 where she would be today, I would have laughed at you. See, that’s the beautiful thing about what Tri Delta does for her members. She calls on her members to lead and serve- to be brave, bold, and kind in everything they do. Tri Delta sees in you what you can’t see in yourself.

Tri Delta has provided countless opportunities not only for myself but also for the women of this incredible sorority. Our chapter consistently proves to uphold Tri Delta's three values - truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship - through spending many hours with one another working toward a shared vision of accomplishing our chapter goals and for being dedicated philanthropist for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Being a sorority that was founded on the ideal of being kind alike to all, Tri Delta gives you the opportunity to build incredible bonds with women who are so undeniably themselves.

I am extremely proud to serve as this year's Chapter President and cannot express my gratitude to serve the Alpha Lambda chapter and Tri Delta as a whole. I am so excited to share with you the sisterhood we share in our chapter and for you to see what makes Tri Delta so unique. I hope you enjoy exploring our website and seeing the impact our members have on one another, the Greek community, and the University of South Carolina!

Delta love and mine,

Katie Young
